St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic School is a fully accredited Pre-K - 8th Grade Catholic School located in Gahanna, Ohio. As of October 31st, 2018, St. Matthew has approximately 600 students enrolled in Pre-K through 8th Grade.

Faculty
- 29 Licensed Teachers, averaging 14 years of experience, over 50% with a Master’s Degree
- Full Day Pre-K Program Licensed by the Ohio Department of Education
- Teacher Assistants in all classrooms Pre-K-3, all grades 4-8

Background Checks (Diocesan Policy 4110:0)
- All paid school staff must have on file both BCI and FBI background checks and must attend “Protecting God’s Children.
- All volunteers must have on file a BCI background check and must attend “Protecting God’s Children” no matter how much or how little contact they have with children or youth, no matter if volunteering for the school or parish, and no matter what time of the day or night they volunteer.
