St. Matthew Home and School Volunteer Opportunities

St. Matthew School relies on the support of volunteers to facilitate
many school activities, events, and projects. This is an excellent
opportunity for moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, and others to become
acquainted with those who are working for the benefit of the school.

Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

Supporting Teachers and Staff

Cafeteria:
Volunteers are needed every day to help the cafeteria staff provide a delicious
and nutritious lunch for your child. We would love to have one person each day
to help prepare the food from 9:00-11:00. Three people are needed from
11:20- 1:15 to help serve and clean up. Having volunteers enables us to keep
the lunch costs down. Please consider donating your time on a regular basis.
All help is welcomed and appreciated.
Please contact Jeanne Daniels at 614-532-0604 or stmatthewcafeteria@hotmail.com.

Media Center (Library):
Classes are scheduled to go to the library once per week. Volunteers are needed
during the school day to shelve and check out books, assist the students as they
come into the library, and/or help with book fairs.
Contact Rebecca Pollock at 614-471-4930 or rpollock@cdeducation.org.

Room Parents:
Room parents are responsible for class parties and other activities involving a specific
class at the request of the classroom teacher. Room parent signups are held in May
for the following year with an orientation meeting held in September.

Last Day of School Activities (May/June):
Home & School treats grades 5-7 to an afternoon at the Chiller @ Easton while grades
K-4 are entertained with a variety of activities at the school. Volunteers are needed to
chaperone at the Chiller and to help plan and supervise activities at the school.
