TeacherMr. FrazierSCHOOL: St. Matthew SchoolCLASS: MusicSCHOOL PHONE: 471-4930 About The TeacherI would like to take this opportunity to say "hello" to all the students and
parents I will see this year. I really enjoy teaching at St. Matthew
School and I will use this space to tell you a little about myself. I am now in my
ninth year here at St. Matthew.
I am a Central Ohio native, having grown up in Whitehall. I received my
Bachelor's in Music Education at The Ohio State University, where I studied
instrumental and vocal music. At Ohio State I was a member of the Chorale,
Symphonic Choir, Symphonic Band, and The Ohio State University Marching
Band. As a member of the band I was fortunate enough to travel to the
Citrus Bowl in Orlando, the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, and twice to the Sugar Bowl in
New Orleans.
In December 2008, I received my Master's Degree in Music Education with Kodaly emphasis from
Capital University
I taught three years in the Granville School system, teaching band, middle
school choir, and elementary music. I then taught two years in Columbus
Public Schools, first with elementary, then with middle school choir.
I have been a member of the Columbus Cecilian Singers, and you may have seen
me at Easton Town Center during the holidays singing as a Victorian Caroler
in a quartet known as VoiceQuad.
I live in Gahanna with my wife, Sandra, and my sons Nicolas, Micah, and Noah. Sandra, my beautiful
wife, who grew up in Bogota, Colombia, is a Spanish teacher at Canal Winchester High School. Nico is now
twelve years old and attending 7th Grade at St. Matthew, while Micah and
Noah are 9 and are in 4th Grade.
I can't wait to meet all of you. Feel free to stop in anytime and say hello!
